Bio
A brief bio on Tim Clarke-Payton, his background, his passion for photography and how it all happened.
Whilst at Stowe, Tim was surrounded by the masterful works of Sir John Vanburgh, William Kent, Robert Adam and Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and found it impossible not to be consumed by the majesty of his surroundings. It was evident that architecture created such an overwhelming effect on his soul, giving both a feeling of inspiration and zen that a seed was planted way before he consciously realised it. What he did know was that the Arts would carry on moulding his life and before he knew it, Tim had followed his love of the aesthetic studying Fine Art Valuation and Architecture at Southampton Solent University.
After leaving university, Tim spent a couple of amazing and inspirational years working for the couture design genius Philip Treacy in Belgravia, before he followed a family trend and joined the world of prime residential property.
Over the past 20 years Tim has run a number of Central London estate agencies selling some of the finest luxury real estate in the world, from Riverside penthouses to Mayfair, Chelsea and Knightsbridge town houses. Accordingly, due to the exceptional speed of a booming London property market and the evolution of digital media, photography rapidly became the most important tool to maximise brand awareness and market superiority. Realising that many photographers he hired were often either unreliable, slow to react or simply didn't cut the mustard, mood and detail, he has invested over 15 years perfecting a passion, that was after all, key to both his companies' success as well as maximise the ROI of his client's most valuable financial assets. Tim's passion for photography, eye for intricate detail and commercial understanding made for a perfect recipe.
Based in London, Tim regularly travels throughout Europe, including The Netherlands, South of France, Ibiza and the Greek Islands as well as the USA.
"An understanding of both the physical space and the technical knowledge required to capture a specific moment in time separates him from the rest"
